Joseph has been in the fitness industry for over 25 years. He is an ACE certified personal trainer with many specialty certifications including senior fitness, youth fitness specialist, fitness nutrition specialist amongst others. He has a master’s degree in business and human resources from RIT and created their Better Me Wellness program from the ground up. He has co-owned Max Effort Training, a personal training studio, for the last 10 years and now has ventured out on his own to bring Henrietta a state-of-the-art facility, ROC Personal Training LLC.
Joseph has competed in all-natural powerlifting and has held national and state records in the bench press. He is an advocate for drug-free lifting and tries to inspire upcoming athletes through his accomplishments. He is passionate about baseball as he played in college and continues to play today.
Joseph’s intrinsic motivation is to see the changes a person can make to become more fit, independent, and live a more fulfilling healthy life.

I’m a mom of two active boys, a 7x marathoner and 1x ultramarathoner. In my free time you can find me playing outside with my kids and dogs, baking, reading, contemplating a new home reno project or listening to true crime podcasts.

Hi, my name is Kat Maldonado. I have been a certified personal trainer since 2017. I have worked with women in all stages of life – from 19 to 98! My goal for my clients is to build confidence and make healthy, sustainable, habit changes to reach their goals. Sessions are focused on lifting weights and a personalized approach. I aim to push clients to see their true capabilities.
I began lifting weights in 2016 as my dance career came to an end. Lifting weights and adopting an athlete mindset changed my perspective on myself, my body, and my life. I compete as a natural bikini competitor. Outside the gym, I am a kindergarten teacher and a mother to a two-year-old daughter. I enjoy hiking, reading, and spending time with my family.
Tim is a recent graduate from the exercise science program at SUNY Brockport. He has experience creating training programs for a wide variety of gym warriors, ranging from healthy young teenagers to cancer patients over 80. He strives to help his clients achieve their goals both safely and efficiently.
Tim specializes in exercise for health promotion and functional fitness training. He is eager to help people make permanent changes to their lifestyle, which will lead to improvements in overall health and quality of life. He loves to see his clients becoming healthier and more able as they accomplish their goals.
Outside of the gym, Tim spends his time working a second job on a painting crew, attending various activities at his church, and playing board games with his friends or family.
Nick is an NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach, adaptive fitness and challenge enthusiast, Veterinary Assistant, and Residential Mental Health Counselor.
For several years, Nick has worked with a variety of populations ranging in age and capability levels. From beginners picking up weights for the first time, those trying to lose weight, and athletes looking to develop more skill and muscle mass for competition, he enjoys working on new challenges. Nick's overall goal for clients is to feel capable of not only performing well in everyday life but exceeding their own expectations.
Nick has been an avid fitness enthusiast since he was 15 and grew inspired by his father to get into bodybuilding. At the age of 20, Nick was involved in a near-fatal motorcycle accident that left him paralyzed in his right arm among other injuries. After nearly a year of recovery, Nick began his journey building back his body in his new adaptive state as well as going on to earn 2 college degrees and going to grad school. Fast forward nearly a decade later, Nick has a vision of helping everyone, regardless of their disabilities and shortcomings, to achieve the body they deserve.
